Why Coaching?

What do we mean by coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative, thought-provoking process in which the client works through an issue with their coach, in order to find solutions. Ultimately, it is the intention that coaching will lead to improved personal and professional performance, improved self-reflection and self-organisation and an improved sense of happiness and well-being.

Coaching is based on the principle that the client has the answer, along with the ability to find the answer, within themselves, but will need a skilled coach in order to facilitate the process, to raise levels of self-awareness and to realise answers. The role of the coach is to tailor coaching consultations around the needs of the client and to do so in a neutral, non-judgemental manner; coach and client are equal partners in the relationship and neither is seen as 'the expert'.

The need to establish and maintain an open, respectful and professional relationship between coach and client is a vital factor in a successful coaching experience.

Executive coaching is for those who work at the highest levels of leadership in their chosen profession, who wish to be coached as individuals, or who seek to establish and develop coaching for staff, as individuals, or as a team. Whilst I am qualified and experienced in coaching senior executives, I am very happy to work with all clients, whatever their background, role and level of experience.
